On 15 December 2022, IPTO commissioned Hellenic Cables, the cables segment of Cenergy Holdings, as the main turnkey contractor and cable supplier for the 150 kV electrical interconnection between Zakynthos and Kyllini, with a total length of about 23 km. The contract covers design, manufacturing and supply of land and submarine high-voltage cables and accessories, civil works for land cable installation, laying and protection of the submarine cables, land–sea transitions, jointing and terminations at IPTO-built substations, as well as testing and commissioning.
