All submarine and onshore cable installation campaigns for the Western HVDC Link were completed by mid-2017. The 422 km cable system was installed across approximately 6 campaigns between July 2016 and mid-2017, using Prysmian's Giulio Verne CLV. The link began transmitting power in late 2017.
