Installation of the Vis–Biševo interconnector was completed in 1973, when a 10 kV submarine power cable (type DKRA 3x35 mm2 Cu, approximately 5,004 m long) was laid from the Gnjilina bay near cape Stupišće on Vis to Mezoporat bay on Biševo, providing the island of Biševo with an electrical connection.
