As of December 2012, the Riffgat project manager stated that the already laid export cable linking the Riffgat offshore wind farm to the mainland would be connected to the future substation in February 2013, completing the installation phase of the export cable system that forms the NOR-0-1 Riffgat offshore grid connection.
