On 3 November 2020, HEP Operator distribucijskog sustava, via its Elektrodalmacija Split team, carried out the laying of a new 35 kV submarine power cable on the Podgora–Hvar (Bogomolje–Čaklje) section, replacing an older, unreliable link between Čaklje on the mainland and Mala Pogorila/Bogomolje on Hvar. The approximately 12.26 km, 180‑tonne cable was installed across the seabed to improve voltage quality and ensure secure electricity supply for the eastern part of Hvar, supporting the area’s long‑term economic and tourism development.
