Terna commissioned the new 132 kV underground and submarine cable link between the onshore substations C.P. Sacca Serenella and C.P. Cavallino in the Venice lagoon. The 14 km line, including 10 km offshore, entered service as the first phase of a wider programme to modernise and improve the safety and efficiency of the local electricity network, with installation works carried out using environmentally sustainable technologies.
