Terna Rete Italia S.p.A. selected Prysmian Group to supply submarine high-voltage AC cable systems for the Laguna Veneta: Sacca Serenella - Cavallino interconnector, awarding a contract valued at approximately €34 million with an option for a second cable system worth about €25 million. The project, aimed at strengthening the high-voltage transmission network in the Venice area, includes two 132 kV HVAC submarine links of about 14 km and 6 km in length, with cables to be manufactured at Prysmian’s Arco Felice plant and installation/delivery scheduled for 2017.
