Kincardine Offshore Windfarm Limited (KOWL) was established as a project company formed by Pilot Offshore Renewable Energy (PORL) and Atkins Ltd to develop, finance, construct, operate, maintain and decommission the Kincardine Offshore Windfarm and its associated transmission works, including the export connection to Redmoss substation. PORL itself is an Aberdeen-based joint venture between MacAskill Associates Limited and Renewable Energy Ventures (Offshore) Limited, providing the development vehicle behind KOWL’s role as owner and developer of the wind farm and export infrastructure.
