Manufacture of 66 kV cable cores in Bydgoszcz, Poland, for the JDR-produced dynamic inter-array and export cables serving Hywind Tampen’s connection to Snorre A and Gullfaks A.
TFKable, JDR Cable Systems’ parent company, manufactured the power cores for the 66 kV subsea cables used on Hywind Tampen. The cores were produced at TFKable’s facility in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and supplied to JDR for final assembly and armouring into dynamic inter-array and static export cables. This work covered the full length of the cable system connecting the 11 floating wind turbines to each other and to the Snorre A and Gullfaks A platforms, forming the electrical backbone that enables Equinor’s floating wind farm to supply power for the electrification of the Gullfaks and Snorre oil and gas fields.
