Statoil awarded Balfour Beatty a GBP 5.5 million EPCI contract to deliver the onshore 33 kV substation and associated onshore cable works forming the grid connection for the Hywind Scotland Pilot Park export cable at Peterhead Grange. Balfour Beatty is responsible for engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the onshore substation, which interfaces with the Hywind Scotland export cable to connect the floating wind farm into the local distribution network.
