Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) for the Hywind Scotland export cable landfall at Peterhead was completed in September 2016. The HDD activities included drilling the borehole and installing a duct for the later pull‑in of the export cable, thereby completing the shore crossing preparations for the export connection to the onshore network.
