Description
TenneT awarded a contract to a consortium of Van Oord Offshore Wind Projects and Hellenic Cables to supply and install the sea and land cable system for the 700 MW Hollandse Kust (zuid) Alpha offshore grid connection. The consortium scope covered design and installation works for the 220 kV export cable system and the onshore connection from landfall to the onshore high-voltage station at Maasvlakte 2 (Rotterdam). The offshore transmission comprised two 220 kV AC export cables (each 350 MW) along an approximately 42 km route section.
