Major milestone or critical setback
The Skiathos–Euboea electricity interconnection, developed by IPTO/ADMIE, was completed and entered operational service on 11 July 2022, providing secure power supply to Skiathos and the wider Northern Sporades. The project, which includes overhead, submarine and underground high-voltage lines and a new 150 kV GIS substation on Skiathos, was delivered on schedule despite the pandemic and has been meeting the islands’ increased summer demand since its commissioning in summer 2022.
