On 21 December 2020, Transmission Capital Partners was declared the preferred bidder for the East Anglia One offshore transmission licence and, in connection with this, established TC East Anglia One OFTO Ltd as a special purpose company to acquire the East Anglia One offshore transmission assets. These assets comprise the HVAC transmission system that connects the 714MW East Anglia One offshore wind farm to National Grid’s 400kV network at Bramford substation in Suffolk, via a 220kV export system with offshore and onshore cables and substations.
