Connection of Syros with the northern end of Tinos with a submarine tripolar 150 kV AC cable of a rated 200 MVA capacity, with a length of 33 km, supplied and installed under IPTO’s Cyclades Phase A Group B contract for submarine cable links Syros–Paros, Syros–Mykonos and Syros–Tinos.
Hellenic Cables was awarded by Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO/ADMIE) the Group B contract under tender DAPM-41303 for the Cycladic Islands interconnection, covering the 150 kV submarine cable links Syros–Paros, Syros–Mykonos and Syros–Tinos and the high‑voltage cable terminal in Tinos. For the Syros–Tinos sub‑project, Hellenic Cables supplied and installed a three-core 150 kV AC submarine power cable rated 200 MVA over an approximately 33 km route between Syros and the northern end of Tinos, including associated underground sections, coastal protection works and connections to the existing IPTO network. The high‑voltage submarine and underground cables were manufactured within the Hellenic Cables group and installed as a turnkey package, forming part of Phase A of the Cyclades interconnection completed around 2018.
