On 3 January 2011, Ministerial Decision No. FA/E 3.2/57/3 formally classified the project “Interconnection of Cyclades Islands with the National Mainland Interconnected Transmission System” as a project of “general importance for the economy of the country,” providing high-level governmental recognition for the multi‑phase scheme that includes the Phase A Syros–Tinos 150 kV submarine cable link.
