In 2015, the Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) began engineering, procurement, and onshore civil and electrical works for the Cycladic Islands interconnection Phase A, including the Syros–Tinos 150 kV AC submarine cable with its HV cable terminal in Tinos and associated GIS substations, under contracts with Hellenic Cables and other suppliers, for a project period running from 2015 to 2017.
