Radial supply of Mykonos from Syros, with a submarine tripolar 150 kV AC cable of a rated 140 MVA capacity, with a length of 35 km, delivered as part of Cyclades Interconnection Phase A (Tinos–Syros–Mykonos and Syros–Paros), for which Hellenic Cables is reported as having completed Phase A cable works.
Hellenic Cables acted as the high‑voltage submarine cable contractor for IPTO/ADMIE on Phase A of the Cyclades interconnection covering the Tinos–Syros–Mykonos group, including the 150 kV AC radial link from Syros to Mykonos. For this segment, the company designed, manufactured and installed a single three‑core XLPE‑insulated 150 kV submarine power cable, rated at around 140 MVA, over a route length of approximately 35 km to connect Mykonos into the mainland grid via Syros. The turnkey scope formed part of the wider Cyclades Phase A programme to replace local diesel generation with grid supply.
