The Cyclades Phase A Syros–Mykonos 150 kV AC submarine interconnector, a ~35 km XLPE-insulated radial cable rated at 140 MVA linking Mykonos to the mainland grid via Syros, entered full operational service in May 2018, when Mykonos was added to the Cyclades interconnection and began being supplied by the Hellenic Electricity Transmission System (HETS) instead of local autonomous power stations, marking completion of the Phase A works affecting Mykonos.
