Cable installation for the Capri–Torre Annunziata high-voltage interconnector began on 9 November 2014, when Prysmian, using the cable-laying vessel "Giulio Verne", started full-rate laying of the approximately 30 km submarine cable between Rovigliano in Torre Annunziata and Marina di Caterola in Capri as part of Terna’s project to connect the island to the Italian national grid.
