The installation of the 30 km submarine cable for the Capri–Torre Annunziata interconnector was completed after three days of offshore works, following the start of full laying operations on 9 November 2014. Cable-laying vessel "Giulio Verne," working for Prysmian on behalf of Terna Rete Italia, finished positioning the high-voltage cable on the seabed between Rovigliano (Torre Annunziata) and Marina di Caterola (Capri), reaching a maximum depth of 119 m and marking one of the most important phases in constructing the new electrical connection and station for Capri.
