Nexans announced that it had been contracted by Statnett to design, produce and install two new 420 kV subsea cable systems in the inner Oslofjord, one of which connects Solberg in Hurum with Brenntangen in Vestby. Nexans stated that the Indre Oslofjord project, including installation of the Solberg–Brenntangen replacement cables, was planned to be completed in 2018.
