In 2010, as part of the Belwind export cable works, Van Oord undertook offshore site preparation by dredging a trench across the main shipping route ‘de Scheur’ to Zeebrugge, creating the seabed corridor required to install and bury the 150 kV export cable between the Belwind offshore high-voltage station on Bligh Bank and the Belgian coast.
