Description
A consortium of ROMGOS Gwiazdowscy and ZRB Janicki was contracted by PGE and Orsted in February 2024 to execute Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) under the beach at Lubiatowo (Choczewo commune) and construct four underground transition joint bays (TJBs) connecting the offshore 275 kV export cables with the onshore cable route. Each HDD channel is approximately 1.2 km long with a 90 cm outside diameter, routed at 20-30 m depth to preserve the beach and coastal environment. Works completed by March 2026.
