In 2009, NKT commenced its turnkey high-voltage cable project for the Baltic 1 offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea, supplying a 150 kV HVAC export cable system of about 60 km and associated 30 kV in-field cables of about 20 km to enable cost-efficient transmission of green power.
