

Described as Korea’s first subsea power cable laying vessel; the name GL2030 stands for “Global Leading 2030.”
Non-propelled cable laying barge equipped with a GE DPS-21 DP2 system and six deck-mounted 360° steering Z-drive azimuth thrusters (ZF AT 5111 DM-FP), each driven by a Cummins KTA38-M2 engine rated 825 kW at 1,800 rpm. Electrical power is provided by 2 × 1,200 kW, 440 V, 60 Hz main generator sets plus a 1 × 120 kW, 440 V, 60 Hz emergency generator (earlier brochure also lists auxiliary generators).
