Ahead of installing the WindFloat Atlantic export cable, DeepOcean carried out offshore site preparation on behalf of Hengtong and REN, including route engineering, free-span analysis and a burial risk assessment, and implemented an installation and protection solution involving pre-lay rock bag installation and other measures to manage the challenging seabed conditions along the approximately 18 km cable route offshore Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
