An unexploded ordnance (UXO) investigation associated with the Western HVDC Link was scheduled for late February–March 2015 in the Beaufort Dyke section of the route. The UXO scope formed part of the detailed geophysical campaign and was to be supported by ROV and sonar inspections from the notified survey vessel to identify potential ordnance hazards prior to cable installation.
