Description
ABB was selected by DONG Energy to design, manufacture, supply and commission the 220 kV AC high-voltage cable system for the Walney Extension transmission link, covering the offshore and onshore grid connection. The scope described included approximately 100 miles (about 160.9 km) of undersea cable connecting the two offshore wind farm platforms to each other and to shore, plus about 15 miles (about 24.1 km) of underground onshore cable for the onshore grid connection.
