NKT was awarded a contract to design, manufacture and commission two 220 kV extruded export cable systems and an underground cable system connecting the 659 MW Walney Extension offshore wind farm to the onshore power grid, making NKT the selected high-voltage export cable supplier for the project’s transmission link.
