NKT, contracted to design, manufacture and commission two 220kV extruded export cable systems and an underground cable system connecting the 659MW Walney Extension offshore wind farm to the onshore power grid, reported that it had delivered and installed all 220kV joints and terminations for the project, indicating completion of its cable installation and jointing scope for the Walney Extension export transmission system located about 19km west of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.
