In June 2013, Moventas began a 13‑week major maintenance campaign on four 3 MW turbines at Vindpark Vänern’s offshore wind park on Lake Vänern, refurbishing the full drivetrains, replacing two gearboxes with Moventas units, and carrying out factory overhauls of components in Finland before reinstalling them offshore under challenging weather‑dependent logistics. The work concluded with testing and commissioning, after which all four turbines returned to smooth operation, equipped with Moventas’ CMaS condition monitoring and remote diagnostics system.
