On 5 December 2023, Triton Knoll OFTO Limited achieved financial close and completed the purchase of the Triton Knoll offshore electricity transmission assets, drawing funds under its financing structure. The acquisition was funded using senior secured debt and subordinated debt alongside equity, including approximately £525.159 million of senior loan proceeds used to acquire the transmission asset, with the overall OFTO project value reported at around £572 million.
