On 29 January 2020, Trianel Windpark Borkum GmbH & Co. KG signed a three-year charter contract with Ems Maritime Offshore for the crew transfer vessel MS "WINDEA three" to support operations at the Trianel Windpark Borkum I offshore wind farm, located 45 km north of Borkum. The vessel, replacing MS "WINDEA one" which had served the project since 2013, has since February 2020 been transporting service technicians and freight between Borkum and the wind farm as part of the project's long-term operational logistics setup.
