On 24 December 2019, Trianel Windpark Borkum issued a tender for a five- to ten-year preventive maintenance framework to replace any defective inter-array cables at its Borkum West 2.1/2.2 offshore wind complex in the German North Sea, including the operational 200 MW Borkum West 2.1 (Trianel Windpark Borkum Phase 1). The contract covers provision of vessels, equipment, personnel, port-related cable handling, testing, terminations, spare parts, and execution documentation for cable replacement works scheduled to run from 1 July 2020 to the end of December 2025, with an option to extend for up to five additional years.
