Description
Siem Offshore Contractors GmbH (SOC) was awarded a turnkey contract by Trianel Windkraftwerk Borkum II GmbH & Co. KG for the supply and installation of the Trianel Windpark Borkum II inner-array (inter-array) grid cable system. The scope included supplying 33 kV MVAC submarine composite inter-array cables (stated total length up to 61 km) as well as cable protection systems and related accessories. SOC’s work also covered post-installation activities such as termination, trenching/burial, and testing services for the inter-array cable links connecting the 32 wind turbines to each other and to the offshore substation.
