Offshore Construction Start

Offshore construction at Trianel Windpark Borkum II effectively started when Seaway Heavy Lifting’s vessel Stanislav Yudin installed the first monopile foundation at the project site in the German Bight. The 73‑metre monopiles, weighing up to 900 tonnes, together with 300‑tonne transition pieces transported from Nordenham, were driven about 30 metres into the seabed, marking the beginning of large-scale offshore installation works for the 32‑turbine, 200 MW wind farm.
