Trianel Windpark Borkum II reached full commercial operation on 30 June 2020, when all 32 Senvion turbines were turning and exporting power, completing a two-year construction phase for the 200 MW municipal offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. This marked the project’s full commissioning and grid connection under the fixed remuneration regime of the German Renewable Energy Sources Act, with the wind farm since generating around 800 GWh per year for roughly 200,000 households.
