Description
Balfour Beatty (via its Services division) operated and maintained the Thanet OFTO high-voltage transmission system under a 20-year licence granted by Ofgem. The assets comprised an offshore and an onshore substation and the associated 132 kV export cable system connecting the 300 MW Thanet Offshore Wind Farm to the onshore transmission grid at Richborough, including two 26.2 km subsea export cables and two 2.4 km onshore cable sections.
