On 4 February 2021, TEPCO Renewable Power (TEPCO RP) joined the TetraSpar floating foundation demonstration project, acquiring a 30% equity stake in the TetraSpar Demonstrator ApS company that owns the demonstrator, including its subsea cable and grid connection at the METCentre off Norway. Following TEPCO RP’s entry, the project shareholding was restructured to Shell 46.2%, TEPCO RP 30.0%, RWE 23.1% and Stiesdal Offshore Technologies 0.7%, reflecting the transfer of a 30% stake from the existing partners to TEPCO RP.
