The Local Commission for Environmental Assessment of the Canary Islands, chaired by the Regional Minister for Ecological Transition, approved the Environmental Impact Statement for the Tenerife–La Gomera submarine interconnection line and its associated infrastructure, a key decision enabling subsequent administrative authorisations and construction of the new electricity system linking the two islands.
