On 29 August 2025, Red Eléctrica entered the offshore construction phase of the Tenerife–La Gomera interconnection as Prysmian’s cable‑laying vessel Cable Enterprise began laying the 66 kV double‑circuit submarine line from the coast of San Sebastián de La Gomera towards Tenerife.
