By 20 April 2012, EDF Energy Renewables had selected Siemens to supply 27 offshore wind turbines for the Teesside (Redcar) offshore wind farm, giving the project a total installed capacity of about 62 MW and enabling power generation equivalent to the annual consumption of around 40,000 households.
