As part of the Teesside Offshore Wind Farm Environmental Statement process, EDF Energy (Northern Offshore Wind) Ltd consulted the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Ministry of Defence and Teesside International Airport on potential aviation and radar impacts. Following these studies, aviation lighting for the turbines was agreed with the CAA, which raised no objections to the wind farm on aviation safety grounds.
