Offshore Marine Management (OMM) provided pre-installation support services to Prysmian for the SylWin 1 HVDC export cable route in German waters. Using DP2 vessel Vos Sweet and an ROV, OMM surveyed the seabed, identified and recovered out-of-service cables along the proposed route for disposal, and performed mattressing of existing in-service subsea assets (telecom and power cables and gas pipelines). OMM also carried out a pre-lay grapnel run (PLGR) to clear debris and ensure the route was clear and suitable ahead of Prysmian’s HVDC cable installation activities.
