After initial years of ownership and maintenance by the joint venture company SwePol Link AB, owned 51% by Svenska Kraftnät, 16% by Vattenfall and 33% by PSE‑Operator, the company was later liquidated and ownership of the interconnector assets was transferred so that Svenska Kraftnät acquired the Swedish part of the cable and PSE‑Operator acquired the Polish part.
