In March 2010, Polish and Swedish transmission system operators PSE-Operator and Svenska Kraftnät signed a joint declaration committing to introduce a truly market-based model for access to SwePol Link’s cross-border transmission capacities. The declaration, welcomed by regulators from both countries, aimed to align the interconnector’s capacity allocation with EU acquis and support more efficient, market-based use of the Sweden–Poland link.
