On 25 May 2026, Polish transmission system operator PSE issued a TSO communication announcing a restriction of the transmission capacity on the SwePol Link HVDC interconnector between Poland and Sweden to 490 MW in both directions, below its 600 MW nameplate rating. PSE attributed the limitation to "technical aspects of the link operation," without specifying the underlying cause or the expected duration. The notice was published at 15:00 as a market communication to system users. The constraint reduces cross-border transfer capability on the Poland–Sweden corridor.
