Norges vassdrags- og energidirektorat (NVE) analysed the impacts of alternative grid connection concepts for Sørlige Nordsjø II Phase 2, including hybrid offshore grid solutions linking Norway to one or more other countries and an additional radial connection to mainland Norway. The work was carried out on assignment from the Norwegian Ministry (Olje- og energidepartementet) to assess implications for power flows and electricity prices in Norway and to support the government’s decision on the Phase 2 transmission concept.
