Description
GE Renewable Energy’s Grid Solutions, acting as consortium leader with Sembcorp Marine, signed a contract with RWE to supply Sofia’s HVDC transmission system. GE’s Grid Solutions was to lead the engineering and EPC scope for two HVDC converter stations and the overall delivery of the HVDC system, including design, installation, commissioning and maintenance activities for the offshore converter platform and the onshore converter station and associated ancillary equipment.
